This is undeniably my favourite Duck Rice in Singapore!

Nestled in a rather secluded area of Buona Vista, the best form of transport to get to this place is by car or taxi. However, parking lots are extremely limited given that this coffeeshop is situated at the end of a row of terrace shophouses. Coming by bus, you'd have to stop along Pasir Panjang and walk a distance (without shelter) to get there.

Don't be deceived by its relatively inaccessible location though, an unaware passerby may mistake their massive queue for a commotion in an otherwise quiet and secluded environment. They have lots of die-hard fans braving the human queue everyday just to satisfy their craving of arguably the best duck rice in Singapore.

The duck is served with no bones, swimming in a generous amount of thick intense braised sauce. The meat is really tender, just like a juicy chicken drumstick. Weird as I may sound, it's smooth too (I've never described meat as being "smooth").

Silky and tender tofu. This dish may appear to be plain but every bit of it is concentrated with taste. The fried onions add an extra crispy element to the dish.

Even the chilli is a hit. It's sweet thai chilli mixed with some spicy sambal chilli. End result is a happy marriage that's well balanced.

Refreshing lime juice to end the meal.

We (6 of us) showed our love for the meal by finishing every morsel of food; proof of how wonderful the food is. *burp*

I'm extremely sad that the owner is retiring after 46 years of serving this awesome food. I'll definitely go out of my way to eat it a few more times before it officially closes in June.
