Dulcet & Studio undoubtedly serves the best hokkaido cream puffs in Singapore.I first came across it when I witnessed a friend purchasing a whole box of these puffs for another friend as a farewell gift. I first came across it when I witnessed a friend purchasing a whole box of these puffs for another friend as a farewell gift. I was perplexed, questioning why on earth would somebody give cream puffs as a farewell gift? Is it that good? Does it make the cut as one of the best things to be remembered for?
To my delight, my friend offered to share the cakes with everybody. On my first bite, I knew why. Since then, I've been going back to Dulcet & Studio (previously Tampopo Deli) again and again.
Lightly drizzled with icing.
The custard was so smooth and silky! It tasted like vanilla custard yet it has this amazing milkiness to it. It's not heavy at all, surprisingly it's very light. The pasty is very soft, yet there's a mysterious crisp to it. When you bite into it, it collapses in your mouth. And you can never stop at only one piece.
If you want to buy these puffs, do go there early. Sometimes it runs out as early as afternoon, and I had to walk away disappointed like a wilted flower.
