Prawn noodle, be it soup or dried, has always be my one of my favorite food. I was in the vicinity of Boat Quay area today and decided to stop by Whitley Road Big Prawn Mee for lunch.

I believed many have given applause to this stall for its king size prawns. I paid $5 for the prawn noodle(dry) and was looking forward to see some big, juicy and fresh prawns but was rather disappointed as they didn’t turn out to be as ‘king size’ as I thought. Truly, they also didn't taste very fresh as they weren't crunchy and carried a little seafood odour. I was only given 3 medium sized prawns with no pork ribs at all. The chili paste was rather bland too.

Though, the prawns seemed miserable, the soup tasted well as its soup base had a distinctive prawn flavor and wasn’t salty. However for this kind of pricing, I’ll consider whether to patronize this stall again.
