Ya Kun is a chain in Singapore well known for its kaya butter toasts. It has a outlet at Northpoint Shopping Centre which is near where I am staying. During mornings, the place is packed with people having a quick bite before going to work. The table turnover is quite fast.One orders and pays at the cashier. Remember to collect the number tag too. Although given number tag, one still have to wait at the counter for drink and half boiled eggs. Only the toasts will be served to you at your table.V

Value Set A ($4.80) - Kaya Toast with Butter SetThe set consists of 2 pieces of crispy toasts with kaya and butter spread on, 2 half boiled eggs and a choice of coffee or tea. It is one of the most popular sets commonly ordered by most. The toast although crispy and light, but tastewise still a far cry from how the founder used to make.
Overall food is not bad and served quite fast. I would prefer that the staff would give the table a quick wipe as it is quite sticky.
