Went to this chong qing hot pot located at tanglin shopping centre as I heard from my friends that this hot pot is one of the more authentic one from China. Location is quite ulu (do not mixed up tanglin mall and tanglin shopping centre!) but we managed to locate this place. Had the normal mala and chicken soup base. chose to have the mild spicy soup base to be good to our stomach... Had the normal mala and chicken soup base. chose to have the mild spicy soup base to be good to our stomach... The chicken soup tasted a bit bland at the beginning, but after awhile when u have put in the steamboat ingredients, the soup become more sweet and tasty. My favorite among the steamboat is surprisingly their dessert, especially the water chestnut cake! It is not too sweet but infused with a nice pinch of water chestnut taste. Their fried nian gao is awesome too. Try their mantou dip with condensed milk too! You will not regret it!
