I was at Tiong Bahru Plaza and walked into a half filled restaurant during lunch time. It always puzzled me whenever I stepped into Coffee Club to see empty tables during lunch or dinner time. The food dished out at Coffee Club are of good quality and standard. The price is also comparable to other restaurants. Could it be the restaurant name that gives the misconception? I browsed through the menu and realized they have introduced a few new dishes since my last visit. I settled for the Herb Crumbed fish fillet with Hollandaise and Mexican Quessadilla with Bolognaise. The herb crust over the fish fillet was crispy, giving it a herbal fragrant.

The tortillas with its melted mozzarella cheese was a light and enjoyable meal served with chunky tomato salsa on the side and garnish of mesclun salad tossed in coffee vinaigrette.
