Porridge and steamboat go best during rainy days. Was feeling full that night so my friends and I decided to settle our dinner at Tiong Bahru Market and I choose to go with the famous Hwa Yuen Porridge to satisfy my craving.
Didn't know they are having their set promotion - a bowl of Century Egg with Shredded Chicken porridge and Raw Fish slice for $4.50. Order this since both are my favorite and thankfully it turns out awesome for me. I like how the porridge is cooked for hours and how flavorful it is. The raw fish is fresh and no fishy smell (major plus point for me) and I can just eat raw like that without 'dipping' it in to the hot porridge.
