In my opinion, Crystal Jade Kitchen serves up quite a good buffet. The food is good and choices are aplenty. My friend and I arrived at about 5pm, half an hour early for their buffet so we had some time to waste. We got excited when we received the order chit, as it was an ala carte buffet, except for the prawns whereby each person was only allowed to have 3. Being extremely hungry, we got too carry away ticking items off the list. When the food arrived, there wasn't enough space (we only had a 2-seater table and more than half of it was already occupied by the steamboat pot) but the waitress was really helpful in assisting us to open another small side table for our food.
We had a good combination of vegetables and meat (more vegetables than meat actually); we sat for about 2 hours and finished all the food we ordered. Surprisingly we didn't feel overly full at all, I presume it was because there was minimal oil or carbs in our food (which would have made me bloated very quickly), so despite the large amount of food, the meal was still rather light. Throughout this whole time, the waitress didn't complain about us taking such a long time to eat, but were instead really nice in ensuring that there was always sufficient soup in our pot, and that our drinks were refilled. Thumbs up for the service!
I was really happy and my tummy was all warm and fuzzy after the meal.
