Taste Paradise is conveniently located on the 4th floor of Orchard Ion, the same level as Paradise Dynasty. We were there around 1pm on a weekday and there wasn't any queue. The waitress ushered us in and recommended us to try the water chestnut drink. This cooling drink is perfect to beat the hot weather in Singapore! The first to arrive were the Fried Taro Puffs w Prawns and Diced Chicken. I ordered this as I am a fan of yam! It's crispy and stuffed with a lot of fillings, worth ordering!

The next item were the Char Siew Sous! I was looking forward to this as I read a lot of comments that this item is a must-try! I agree with those comments! A generous amount of char siew inside and the taste is very different from those selling at hawkers etc. The char siew is sweet and the pastry is soft yet crispy!

I have a weakness for Steam Custard Buns and to me, a dim sum meal is never complete without those!! I've heard many raves about the custard buns over here and I was so eager to try it!

My mandatory egg-custard-oozing-out photo!
This is probably the best custard bun I've ever tasted in my life!! No kidding!! I feel like I can just have a taste paradise custard bun buffet!!!

This is the most expensive item out of all we ordered and it's also the least worth it. I felt there was nothing special about it and I actually felt that the carrot cake at the market near my house tasted better!

Overall, Taste Paradise serves up good dim sum at reasonable prices, the bill came up to $40 for 2 people. The decor of the place has a somewhat ancient feel, which is different from Paradise Dynasty, Kungfu Paradise etc.
