It's the 3rd visit to Swee Choon Dim Sum.I would say, the food is great and cheap at reasonable prices. 4 person paid for <$60Some of the food item, I ordered for the first time. I reached around 7pm and waited for about 20 - 30min as we wanted the air-conditioned area. The waiting time wasn't that bad since we waited for about 10 numbers. Their Salted Egg Yolk Bun is a must-try! But remember, to eat around 1 per pax and at the most 2. (1 basket has about 3) If you eat too much, you will get pretty sick of the food and it will not be as nice compared to the first time you eat it. They are fast and efficient to collect the empty plates/baskets etc.
BBQ Pork Rice, First time trying. The Portion wasn't very big but since it's a place for dim sum, you can just order 1 and share with your friends! With that, you can order more food to try!!
Fried Golden Doufu. is also a must-try. Well, most people might feel that "Fried" so it is going to be deep fried or something. But no, I think it's just slightly fried on the outside and I'm not a tofu lover but I really find Swee Choon's Fried Golden Doufu nice. Remember, eat it with the floss on top of the tofu otherwise, it will just taste normal.
Pan Fried Pork Dumpling. Most dumpling would have vegetables but not much for this. However, this is a little too oily. Otherwise, it would have been perfect.
Overall, most of the dishes at Swee Choon is very nice and worth the price as it is at a reasonable and affordable price. We had 4 pax and the total cost was around $57 including drinks and that we were all very full after that. It is also a good place to have a gathering with your friends. Furthermore, it opens throughout the night! People can always come down for a supper but I'm not too sure about the wait since it is usually packed. If you have yet to try Swee Choon, it's a must to try at least once! You might just fall in love with it!
