I was first daunted by the location of this cafe as there is no direct public transportation to this place. However, once I entered the cafe, I thought that all the effort to travel here was well worth it. Exquisitely decorated with desks, bicycles and scooters from the 70's, the atmosphere gives the patrons a feel of enjoying modern cuisine in an old school setting. My pick of the day was their fish and chips, accompanied with a glass of ice lemon tea. The fish and chips was definitely one of the best in town that I have ever tried. The succulent white fish was coated with a layer of golden crunch which exuded both the freshness of the catch and the lingering after taste of the outer crisp. The dish was well complemented with a side salad which was lightly sprinkled with a sour and 'wasabi-like' sauce. One drawback for this restaurant is their lack of variety for desserts, which I had much difficulties trying to choose before deciding on skipping it. All in all, I had enjoyed my experience at Coastal settlement and would definitely be back to try their other main dishes.
