I haven't been to Mandarin Gallery for quite long. On National Day, i was in town and since i was nearby, i decided to go in and rest my legs as i always like the cosy area with comfy seats near the lift! You will see Providore straight away if you take the escalator up from the main outdoor area at Mandarin Gallery! Heard about this new cafe before but didn't know it's here. I was immediately attracted to the decor of the place. Nice cosy feel and i was glad when i ended up coming here for dinn

I was immediately attracted to the decor of the place. Nice cosy feel and i was glad when i ended up coming here for dinner on the very same day!
Now the food! I was with another friend and we decided to get 2 items first to try and shared together. Grilled Asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto with poached egg, black truffle vinaigrette & red shiso and Porkloin Involtini.
Grilled asparagus ($18.50) was good. Very fresh and crunchy! Loved the dressing and the poached egg added a lovely touch to the dish. Porkloin Involtini ($22.50) on the other hand was kind of disappointing. Meat was quite dry! But thankfully with the pear & raisin chutney that came with it made it easier to finish the dish.
I ended the night with a cup of flat white ($5) that came with a nice heart shaped coffee art.
Overall it was a good experience and surprisingly it was crowded at all for dinner despite being a long weekend. May find a chance to come back for brunch.
But it's a place i be back anytime if i want to rest at a nice cosy cafe with a cup of coffee =)
