As a friend has bought a $75 voucher from Groupon for $50, we decide to redeem at this outlet. Upon reaching the restaurant, we have a difficult time getting the attention of the staff. Blockage is placed at the entrance and I am not sure what is it for. When the staff leds us in, the blockage is not placed aside for us. We have to do it ourselves. Inside the restaurant, there is quite a number of empty tables and we showed to one in the centre. One thing that hits me inside is the strong smell
For the mains, we have Seafood Laksa Spaghetti ($27)
Seared Scallops and Tiger Prawns with Lightly Spiced Laksa Sauce.
Although it looks nicely presented, the taste is simply cannot make it. Firstly it is quite oily. Secondly there is any laksa taste. More like chilli padi's taste. There is barley any flavour in the scallops or prawns. Norwegian Salmon ($28)
Seared Paprika Salmon with Truffle Whipped Potato & Asparagus & Rosemary Tomatoes
The salmon is overcooked and uneven seasoned. Some parts tastes quite salty to me. There is not a bit of truffle taste in the whipped potato.
For drinks, I have Iced Chocolate ($9)
which tastes rather weak.
while my friend have Poof Poof ($12)
made of Apple, Lychee and Cranberry Juice shaken till perfection 100% poofy.
which she could barley made herself finish it.
Lastly for dessert, we have Haute ($6)
Vanilla Cake with Lemon Curd topped with Chantilly Cream.
Quite disappointing as I barely find any lemon taste in it. But has rather nutty texture. Red Velvet ($6)
Light Tinge of Chocolate Vanilla Cake with Rum Raisin and Cream Cheese Topping
Also disappointed in it as one cannot taste the rum, nor the chocolate.
Overall quite disappointed with the food as well as the service, especially from the manager who took our order for main. The place is quite noisy and cannot seem to match with the image which the restaurant is trying to build. The staffs tend to leave half way while through our questions.
