Surprisingly when I went for lunch at Aljunied market and food centre, quite a lot of stalls have already closed. I had originally wanted minced meat noodles but it had already sold out. Hence, I just settled for a takeaway from the economic rice stall as I saw quite a few dishes that I like. I got the bitter gourd, braised egg and stir fried black pepper chicken. Hence, I just settled for a takeaway from the economic rice stall as I saw quite a few dishes that I like. I got the bitter gourd, braised egg and stir fried black pepper chicken. The bitter gourd was quite soft so I did not really enjoy it that much as I prefer having some bite to my vegetables instead of it being all soft. I enjoyed the black pepper chicken a lot as it is very savoury and mixing up all the chicken with the white rice makes the rice really delicious. For $2.70, it is quite a affordable lunch.
