Tucked away from the noisy crowd, Double Spout Cafe is situated in a quiet corner in Heartland Mall. Here's mine, seafood spaghetti with tomato and herbs sauce. Pasta is slightly overcooked, but acceptable. The tangy sauce has a mild herbs taste with sweet and sour tomato bits. $8.90 for a portion with 3 medium prawns and mussels is considered worth the price.
! of my colleague has a seafood aglio olio. Verdict given by her is : not too bad, taste normal like the usual aglio olio.
Another of my colleague had a teriyaki chicken with garlic fried rice. Her verdict: NEVER eat it during lunch time or when you are super hungry. Reason: the waiting time is too long. The chef took more than 20 mins to serve and the reason given is: the chicken thigh is very big, more difficult to cook. But, the overall taste is good as the garlic rice is well fried and the chicken is well grilled.
Here's the bill, a proof where gst and service charge were not charged to us...no wonder this place is popular with students as it's well affordable. Well, i'll be back for more. Post
