Tried the express set lunch offered, at $9.90 for a 9" pizza and a bottomless soft drink. There are 3 choices of pizza to choose from - The Napoletana, Salame Piccante and Regina-Margherita. 3 of us shared two of the set lunches. We tried the salame piccante (with spicy salami, pomodoro and mozzarella) and the Regina-Margherita (with fresh tomato, pomodoro, mozzarella & basil). Each pizza came with 8 medium-sized slices, which worked out to about 5 slices per person, which is just nice for 3 lad
Each pizza came with 8 medium-sized slices, which worked out to about 5 slices per person, which is just nice for 3 ladies. The pizza crusts are thin and rather crispy. For the Regina-Margherita, the fresh tomato slices used were rather sour - I think that's because they used unripe tomatoes. The basil leaves were fresh and smelled really good on the pizza.
For the Salame Piccante, I could not taste any spice in the salami, and I would have preferred if they have given more slices of the salami. Generally for both pizzas, the mozzarella and tomato base sauce tastes ok. Toppings were a bit sparse for both pizzas - which were rather simple ones, probably because of the discounted set lunch price.
We chose the ginger ale and tonic water for the 2 drinks instead of the usual coke or sprite. However, both drinks were very diluted. Especially for the tonic water, which tastes like plain water with a bit lemon and a bitter aftertaste. A point to note: The waitress came over to tell us that we are not allowed to share the drinks (since there are 3 of us and we ordered only 2 set lunches). I guess that's justified since they are offering bottomless drinks. The waitress did offer to give a glass of plain water for the 3rd lady. However, the drinks we choose were not nice at all. We did not even finish them, let alone request for a top-up. Regina-Margherita Pizza Salame Piccante Pizza
