FoodA fusion of French and japanese cuisine. Ordered the Ginerale and orange at $4.00 Each. The thought of eating snail makes me irks. A fusion of French and japanese cuisine.
Ordered the Ginerale and orange at $4.00 Each. The thought of eating snail makes me irks. But after much consideration and the thought of many reviews mentioning a must try, I finally decide to have one plate and a try. Comes with 6 pieces of escargots with garlic butter at $9.80. Not much sticky smell but it tastes like mussels. The part where the staff light up the fire at the base of the plate and the part where we have to handle and grab the escargots out from the shell is a different experience to me. Although this plate of $16.80 Squid ink spaghetti may look unappetizing, it will definitely be better than he last time I had at Skinny Pizza. Ingredients were not that much, only a few slices of mushroom with cut onion rings.Cuttlefish were merely seen. I would have expected much more ingredients in it. You tongue and lips will turn black after this and it is better to drink lots of water to fade the color away. The beef stroganoff Omurice $16.80 is da bomb. Lots of reviews was mentioning that this is a must try and yes, it is a definite must! It looks so appetizing with the scrambled egg omelette as the covering of the delicious rice inside. The graving over the beef cubes are yammy, taste like a bit of wine and sweet sauce Home made pies were good too. Ordered the Mount Blanc and Blueberry with strawberry tart at $9.80 each.
Presentation to the pies on the plate were great, with some coco powder sprinkled by the side. The Mount Blac pie comes with a chestnut on the top and the base is good with biscuits. Not too sweet and everything to my liking. Coated with a thin layer of jelly over the little blueberries which are placed side by side and stack together. By nature, the blueberries are sour and strawberry too. However my friend love it alot. After everything was served, you were offered a key to the hotel room. - Just Kidding.
The staff will give u a keychain and refer you to the counter for payment with this. Service
Service experienced is better than average. Ma Maison staff has the capability of handling customers well despite the long queue outside. Customers were given seats and menu while waiting and staff will verbally mention the estimated waiting time to everyone. As for food serving, staff are very polite and courteous. Even the cashier, he seems friendly. The culture built in by Ma Maison was united and heart warming, once you step into the shop and stand up from your seat to the cashier, they will give a warm greeting to welcome and thank you respectively.
Ambience
Well lited under the dim orangy lightings, the place was made comfortable with some rustic looking furniture and surroundings were decorated by some old pots and pans. By the windows, you can see a panoramic view of Singapore River, it will be better if one can enjoy its dinner by the side of the windows.
Price
Pricing is rather affordable.
