Tried Boon Tong Kee’s recommended Long Then Yu, $43, a signature fish dish that is seasonal. The fish was served with roasted pork, mushrooms, beancurd and fish maw! This dish reminds of Pen Chai, you know that large claypot dish filled to the brim with seafood and thick savoury braised gravy? Rich and bursting with flavours of the sea, I actually liked this dish better than the chicken! The restaurant said it’s their policy to charge customers extra $2 if they order claypot dishes. Odd.
