Saw this new restaurant with quite a queue at the new wing of marina square and decided to give it a try. Service was abit slow as the manager have to help customer to settle bill and usher customer in at the same time. However, food is served pretty fast, before i even finish my appetiser.I ordered the paper wrapped chicken. Service was abit slow as the manager have to help customer to settle bill and usher customer in at the same time. However, food is served pretty fast, before i even finish my appetiser.I ordered the paper wrapped chicken. The only plus point is that the food is reli hot, i open the wrap only after about 15-20 mins after it was served (eating appetiser in the meantime), and it was still piping hot. However, taste wise is kind of average. The chicken taste too bland with abit of "frozen meat" taste, while the sause is slightly spicy and not to my liking.
My gf ordered the pork katsuni, which looks rather good for its price. However, the tonkatsu that came was abit undercooked, can see that the meat in the middle section is still reddish. I checked with the waiter and they did change and reserve us another one that was cooked properly. The tonkatsu taste quite well, the meat isnt too tough and the egg is cooked just right (not too raw nor too overcooked).
Appetiser wise, taste pretty good, with a number of choices which taste decent enough.
Generally, the restaurant is very affordable considering its free flow appetiser. However, food and service wise have much room for improvements.
