Visited Manhattan Fish Market for a friend gathering dinner. Although it was a weekday, there was a need to queue for dinner. We ordered a set of Dory Fish and Chips and a seafood platter. Firstly, the batter for the Dory Fish and chips was well prepared and deep fried, has a crispy batter. Size of the fish was acceptable and the fish was very fresh with a soft and tender texture. As for the seafood platter, it includes a bed of garlic herb rice topped with signature Manhattan flaming prawns, deep fried fillet, fried calamari, oysters and chips. One good thing about this platter is the the service crew will torch flame the prawns in front of the customers before serving which I think is a good idea. However, when tasting this platter, it feels like the platter has started to turn cold and is not that hot except for the flaming prawns.
Sauce for the flaming prawn really stands out from the whole platter and goes well with the garlic herb rice. Batter for the fish, calamari and oyster was quite crispy and well cooked as well. Small amount of broccoli and carrots was also included. Overall quite satisfy with the quality of the food and would recommend if you like to eat fish and chips and seafood.
