This place is recommended by one of my vegetarian friends who stays in the west area. Located in the neighbourhood area, you may be surprised by the crowd and number of customers.Vegetarian food can ever with so interesting and it looks deceiving as though we are having the non-vegetarian version.FoodFrom Yong Tau Foo to individual dishes. From Yong Tau Foo to individual dishes. Name it, almost everything is good here. Food are not too oily in general.
Bak Kut Teh with Rice $5.80
Soup tastes as good. Mock meats tastes like the real thing.
Goh HiongWell fried and tastes as though you are eating the real thing.
Roasted meat and Char Siew RiceThe rice that comes along with this dish is not the usual plain rice. It has some gravy on top of it which makes the mock meats tastes good. I'm surprised by how the mock roasted meat tastes.
It does have the top thin layer of crisp and crunch when you bite it.
Sweet Sauce VegetableThis is a standard plate of vegetable. You wont loose to what you have outside at a ci char stall.
Claypot Yee MeeA simple dish with noodle in soup may taste bland but definitely not this dish! Soup hast the taste of mushrooms and vegetables.
Sweet and sour PorkAnother dish not to skip if you like sweet and sour pork. Try this!
The sesame seeds make it look yummy!
ServiceYou have to order and pay for the food immediately. After which, take the number and your food will be served shortly. They have their own "paying system". Service is definitely fine!
Ambience
They offered seatings outdoors and indoor. It really feels like a neighbourhood as you can see old and young ones dinning there!
Price
Price is pretty reasonable as compared to other vegetarian shop, which cost $8-$10 per dish.
Recommendation / Tips
(1) Last order will be at 8.45pm
(2) Although it closes at 9pm, they started cleaning their place at around 8.15pm. Those who come after this time has to order and dine outside of the eating place.
(3) Be prepared to drink lots of water after the meal as you may be thirsty.
