I have this arbitrary goal of trying every Japanese restaurnant in Liang Court, so last night for quick dinner I went to Yayoiken. It was about 7pm and we immediately got a table. I was really craving cold udon, and the only place on the menu I could find it was in a set, so I ordered the Oyako don + Zaru Udon. It came quickly and the presentation was really good. The oyako don (chicken, egg, rice) was okay but not great... it was maybe a little undercooked and the egg made everything else wet. It was bland too, even after I added soy sauce. But I absolutely loved the cold Udon! I slurped all the thick, smooth noodles up. Yum!

My boyfriend had a set with stir-fried pork, rice, miso soup, and a side salad that was even cheaper than my set. His was $9.90 and mine was $12.90. With drinks and tax/service, the bill was still under $30 making this a really great value. I'll definitely be back to try something else!
