Went to Kazokutei for a casual dinner last Sunday and ordered the Sashimi bento set, which consists of Sashimi (salmon, scallop, crab, prawns) on a bed of sushi rice, Mixed tempura, and a small bowl of UdonThe tempura failed to impress as it wasn't that crispy and it obviously isn't their specialty. The Udon was served in a small bowl of tasty soup and the noodle was soft.. Softer than the usual cheap Udon one would usually get which are probably frozen in the fridge for some time. Can taste that

The tempura failed to impress as it wasn't that crispy and it obviously isn't their specialty.

The Udon was served in a small bowl of tasty soup and the noodle was soft.. Softer than the usual cheap Udon one would usually get which are probably frozen in the fridge for some time. Can taste that this Udon was handmade.

Love the Sashimi bowl! The seafood combination were really fresh, something which I didn't quite expect and the sushi rice below had a soft vinegar taste, not overwhelming at all. The proportion of the rice to the sashimi was really good too, not too much rice at all. It's overall not a huge portion of food but it satisfies in terms of taste and it was filling enough.
