Located in the same vicinity/hawker centre as Lao Ban, I was surprised that 51 soya bean was still going strong. As Lao Ban soya beancurd was experiencing a long queue, i decided to purchase the original flavoured beancurd from 51 soya bean at $1.50 each. It tasted 90% like lao ban, each has their own strengths. Their beancurd did not have the "powdery-feel" of layer on top (like lao ban's). It was smooth and silky and glided down my throat easily. Verdict: worth a try. Good
