My hairdresser was having a few pieces of cempedak goreng which he bought from Mr. Teh Tarik coffee shop at Tampines.I just could not resist having some as well. So after my haircut when across to the coffeeshop. There were many variety of goreng snacks. Vadai (4 pcs for $2), Pisang Goreng (5 pcs for $2), Epok Epok (3 pcs for $2), Keledek Goreng (5 pcs for $2), Gendang Kasturi (5 pcs for $2) but no Cempedak Goreng. The stall owner told me its all sold out. Each Cempedak Goreng cost 50 cents. Ker

Keropok Lekor are sold at $2 for four pieces.
I did not want to go home empty handed, so I bought some pisang goreng , Keledek Goreng
and green bean fritters .
The pisang goreng is not fully ripe so the taste is bland. I would prefer Pisang Raja which has a sweet flavour.
Whereas the Keledek Goreng is ok but the green bean filling are too dry.
What I like most are the crunchy top layers of the fritters that came along in the packet.
Am determine to get back to this stall again someday to try my luck with Cempedak Goreng.
