Chanced upon Sushi Express @ Tampines 1 and I was fairly satisfied with the overall dining experience. Each table is allowed a dining duration of 40 mins, a concept quite common in Japan and hence we were quickly led to our seats despite it being full house (lunch hour). Each plate costs $1.50 btw! At first glance there seems to be a wide array of food choices though the choices are actually limited. The sushi is generally satisfactory, somewhat like a better version of the supermarket sushi, though at a much affordable pricetag! Sushi Express offers complimentary green tea, in fact it is self-served (and free-flow), and this greatly enhances the low price factor!
Besides sushi, Sushi Express also offers, however limited, an array of desserts namely their mochi, pudding, cheesecake and a few others. The sashimi and their other delicacies are fairly tasteful, though its quality has highly superseded its price. So no complaints, given its great price! Their olysters are definitely a must-try! Albeit a longer wait for certain food items, have patience guys!
Generally a satisfactory meal, and the total bill came up to about 30 bucks, inclu service charges and GST, pleasantly surprised yet delighted. EE!
