Artistry is nestled beneath the shop houses along the main roads near Jalan Pinang. It is a combination of art gallery with cafe. It showcases art pieces from both the local and international artists. Cafe theme revolves between mysterious black and purity white with a combination usage of wooden stools and metal chairs as furniture. They had a communal concept, common dining for customers sitting together along a long bench. Whole area is quite small, probably fit up to around 25 patrons indoor

Ordered the following.

Gibraltar ($5): Consist of double ristretto and foamed steam milk. Ristretto is basically short shot of espresso made from the usual amount of coffee powder but extracted using half the amount of water. It is less bitter than espresso and has a fuller body. But still, too much caffeine for me :/

Big Breakfast ($18): The typical full breakfast set that consists of 2 multi-grain toast, scrambled egg, some button mushroom, green and a pork sausage. Pork sausage is good, not too dry rather juicy. Scrambled egg is light and fluffy. Overall, a decent brunch with not too much of surprise in taste.

Duck Confit Croissant ($15): Shredded duck confit with scrambled egg and some greens between the croissant. It has a very good mouth feel. Crispy and flaky croissant, with the soft fluffy eggs and some bite force of the shredded duck confit. A good innovation to the brunch menu. Personally quite like this dish myself.

Overall, a very nice ambiance to dine in. It’s like a bustling corner within an art gallery, very cozy and comfortable. And one interesting thing i notice about this cafe is that, i see more expats or foreigners dining in this cafe instead of the usual cafe hoppers crowd! Did not get to try their dessert, shall probably head down to try it another time as it looks so good!
