I ordered the Ootoya Special Dish Set ($15.00, 990kcal) as it’s said to be one of their signature dishes. It’s served with the combination of homemade croquette and deep-fried chicken with a sunny side up. This is an Ootoya’s staple dish with rice going along with simple yet delicious ingredients. As seen in the first picture, this dish is also served with appetizers, soup and salad. This is one very heart warming dish which may leave you home sick for your mum’s cooking.

Some of the factors which attracted so many people to Ootoya would be the quality and the healthy, value for money food served here. It could also be their free flow of rice.

Overall, I enjoyed the food at Ootoya Japanese restaurant and the food left me an impression of dining in a town of Japan with friendly and warm service staffs. The food here never fails to surprise you with the authentic and delicious flavours it’s able to bring out from a humble looking dish.
