Hifumi is not your typical restaurant, it serves a range of different dishes and every order grants you access to an appetizer bar buffet! You can add on free flow of drinks including coffee, tea and soft drinks for a few more dollars. A wide range appetizers and snacks are available while you wait for your main dish. THe appeitzers apparently change from time to time so to try everything you'll have to visit Hifumi during different times (Well played Hifumi). What drew me was this big bowl of melted cheese you could mix with various vegetables and snacks. They had chawanmushi as well that was hot and generous with fillings such as mushrooms and crabmeat. The appetizers do run out fast, so keep a look out for refills when they come and make a rush for it!I ordered the Paper Baked Chicken which was considered a healthy choice in the menu. The chicken came piping hot and the meat was tender and well marinated. Not exceptional but a decent meal complimented by all the appetizer dishes. Rice was unnecessary as I was pretty full from the appetizers already!
One thing to note is that the Appetizer Bar area is pretty cramp and crowded at times (and no one seems to know how to queue) but thats just a minor issue! Good food, good variety, happy meal!
