Had something light at Ikea cafe after window shopping at Ikea. Not because of hungry, because I was craving for the meatballs and cakes!!So my friends and i ordered one cake each, meatballs (5only, so pathetic, coz we were full already), chocolate mousse @$0.90 and a cup of refillable coffee !!The classic SWEDISH MEATBALL *highly recommended* This is the must order dish when you go to Ikea Cafe. As you scroll down you will see reviews all about this dish. The meat balls were succulent and juicy
This is the must order dish when you go to Ikea Cafe. As you scroll down you will see reviews all about this dish. The meat balls were succulent and juicy and well marinated. It was finely blended so it was tender and the fibre were fine. The sauce was nice too, tasted nice with the meat balls, and the powder version of the sauce were sold at the counter there so you could make your own! Potato was a lil' hard in the centre but it's still okay with the sauce. The raspberry jam given was nice with fresh raspberry fruits inside. BUT i've no idea why was jam given.. although i tasted quite okay with the meatballs.. Can anyone tell me? ;D
The dark chocolate was very nice, i like the percent of sweetness. No bitter taste but not too sweet. There is some small chunks of nuts in it which added some crunchy texture to the cake and make the overall not plain. The big piece of this dark chocolate cake just made my day.
Awesome cake too. The top most layer was milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate. So it was a bit more sweet than the dark chocolate cake but the sweetness is still acceptable. This is just awesome when you have the cake with a cup of hot coffee in the rainy weather. $2.80 was considered very cheap for this big piece of cake. Worth trying
