We dropped by Hong Kong Sheng Kee for some dessert as the menu looked enticing. Their specialty seems to be mango as there are many mango based desserts on their menu. Besides desserts, they also have chinese food like wanton noodles and dim sum items as well so it is quite comprehensive. I ordered the black sesame paste as I wanted to have something warm. The black sesame paste costs $3.30. It arrived quite shortly after I ordered, probably because the server only had to dish it out from the pot. The black sesame paste is quite ordinary. In terms of taste, it is rather sweet and the black sesame fragrance was not that strong. Also, the paste is not as thick as I hoped it would be, it seems to be more watered down. I guess maybe I should stick with trying their signature mango desserts instead next time.
