What a long week! My partner and i decided to embark on a self rewarding trip to Dolce Tokyo for our friday dinner. Boy are we not disappointed! The whole place was wonderfully done up. The whole place was wonderfully done up. A small crowd has been building up but the place/mood was not rowdy at all. Peace and quiet, perfect for a chill session! We ordered their signature Omu curry rice (with pork belly as side dish), a salmon eggs benedict and a matcha sundae ice cream. Unfortunately, we were made to wait relatively long despite the whole place being relatively empty. Omu rice was indeed flavourful. The pork belly is tender and melts in your mouth though it tasted a whee bit like the can - pork cubes. (Yes! like the yellow can of pork cubes (ba teng) that you can buy from your resident mama shop). Potato salad with sour cream was a nice touch, the octopus and jellyfish appetizer though was nothing that special, though flavourful all the same. The salmon, was slightly salty(smoked) was nice as well. Its tangy sauce complimented the smooth texture of the salmon. The dessert was the highlight. No doubts about that. The medium sized cup was packed to the brim with oreo cookie, matcha/vanilla,brownies ice cream, brown sugar and multiple jellies. My partner and i finished every.single.item.
There are still a variety of other food and cakes. The serve their cakes in bird cages. Yep! You heard me right. =) There is also a stone bowl rice that looks great too.
I am definitely coming back for more.
