Met up with a group of my secondary school friends and we had dinner at this Japanese restaurant known for their gyozas! True enough, most of their bento sets included their gyozas. They have a wide range of food on their menu and I finally decided on this Black Vinegar Fried Chicken set. It came together with a bowl of rice, a bowl of miso soup and three pieces of gyoza. The miso soup tasted quite bland but it complements well with the black vinegar fried chicken. The other ingredients included lotus roots, capsicum and eggplant. Their gyozas are handmade and then pan-fried. I like the combination of crispiness on the outside and moist inside. The filling is a combination of pork and finely minced cabbage, garlic and ginger. I am no gyoza expert and therefore can't really judge the standard of these gyozas.

One of my friends had the Fuwatoro Tenshin Han set, which is Osaka Ohsho's signature dish. It is essentially like a Jap omelette rice. However, the one here is fluffy and the hot piping rice had a distinctive aroma. The whole omu rice is also drenched in velvety gravy which makes it different from elsewhere!
