Korean food are getting more popular with Singaporean especially after the popular 大长今 Korean drama. I always enjoy dining at a Korean restaurant because I will be overwhelmed by all the different side dishes they served.My friends and I went to check out Jang Shou Korean BBQ at Esplanade. My friends and I went to check out Jang Shou Korean BBQ at Esplanade. The restaurant is a bit difficult to locate as the main entrance is hidden in an alley between Thai Express and Glutton Bay Makansutra.
For the BBQ, you need to order at least 2 portions of meat. We went for the grilled beef rib meat and grilled chicken ribs. We also ordered kimchi casserole which had a lot of ingredients in it. A very nice dish to be eaten with the rice. Once the side dishes were served, the waiter/waitress served the meat and BBQ it for us. The food was excellent but expensive. Ventilation could be improved cos I left smelling of BBQ all over.
