Loh Mei also known as Lo Kai Yik (stewed chicken wings in Cantonese)
Assorted ingredients such as stewed chicken wings (main ingredient) with cuttlefish, mushroom, braised pork, fish cakes, fried bean curd and gizzards are cooked together. Your selected ingredients are put into a metal pot with added fresh green spinach and long fried beancurd topped with pre-prepared special fermented bean paste sauce. Upon boiling, the dish is transferred into a mini metal work and served by itself or with rice or egg noodles.
You can select the choice of ingredients to suit your palate.
The soup has an unusual colour and many people are taken aback of the colouring. Used to be very concentrated but over the years, the gravy has become more diluted.
