My Friday's Motto: Lunch should never be a sad, da-bao pack to be eaten in office! With that in mind, I asked Toady out for lunch around her work area. We quickly decided on Domani as I had a 1-for-1 lunch coupon tucked inside my wallet. We loooooove discounted lunch! We both decided on a lunch set each (well.. since we were there for the 1-for-1 promo ), which included a choice of main + today's soup + choice of drink.- My order: Crabmeat & Prawn Tomato pasta + Pearl of the Orient Tea ($14

Soup of the Day: Minestrone
The soup was light and filled with little chunks of vegetables (onions, celeries, carrots, potatoes, etc) - which I appreciated. It was an easy starter dish. No special "WOW" factor.
Just a simple, light soup to warm up your empty stomach.

Crabmeat & Prawn Tomato Spaghetti (Tomato Sauce)
At the first mouthful, I pouted at Toady. "Not niceee..." I bleated. The pasta was too sourish to me (because of the tomatoes paste?). The sauce was too light and not flavourful enough too. The only redeeming factor was that there was quite a substantial quantity of shrimps & real crab meat (not crabsticks type) found in the pasta. And that offered some form of consolation - that at least, I was eating something value-for-money... even if it wasn't that fantastic...

Bacon & Mix Mushroom Linguine (Aglio Olio)
The original pasta was actually offered as fettuccine in cream sauce. However, Toady requested for it to be changed to linguine + cooked in aglio olio style.

The friendly waiter accepted the request for change readily and the dish was served just the way Toady loves it (as she claimed). It was a dish pretty well done, in my option. The bacon was crispy (as per our request too), and you could taste the oozing fragrance of garlic & olive oil + salty, crispy bacons with each mouthful. It was a satisfying meal to fill your tummy with.

Pearl of the Orient Tea
This tea was a killer! I never knew that jasmine + rose would made such an awesome combination for tea! The result was a light yet very, very fragrant tea. Hmmm... it was a great cup to end your meal with!

Service wise, we had absolutely no complaints. We took a quick look around and found the staff to be mostly friendly and ready to serve. Though they did seem to be under-staffed at times (thus it might take just more than 1 hand signal to catch their attention), yet we could really find no fault with their patience (given that Toady requested A LOT of changes to their set lunch menu) and likeable "can-do" attitude. Between the 2 of us, we gave them 4 thumbs up!!
