Waiting time can be a little tedious, if you are here after 1800 hours, on a weekend. We reached around 1730 hours, and we have to wait for an hour before we can be assigned to a table. But that's not all. Good thing is, you are able to select your dishes beforehand, and then pass to the usher once you have a table. So, another hour of waiting for the food to be served.
Drinks are ordered separately, so try to attract their attention once you are done with your drinks selection from your table.
Coconut Drink ($6.00). Almost every table has a coconut ordered, and so we followed. Drink is definitely refreshing!
Pork Floss Tofu ($12.00) for a small portion. We ordered this because this is the first time we saw such combination in a seafood restaurant. Thick savory gravy over their homemade tofu and broccoli, topped with pork floss. Tofu is lightly fried on the outer, while inside is firm and mushy, similar to eating beancurd. Thumbs for this dish!
Salted Egg Pork Ribs ($15.00) also comes in Butter and Steamed Pork Ribs in Lotus Leaf. The latter was my initial choice, but it was not available then. Thus, choice between butter and salted egg.
I love their salted egg pork ribs because the meat is easy to bite off and taste of salted egg has jacketed each individual ribs well, and meat is juicy and soft to chew. No more struggles!
Fried Crab Bee Hoon ($55), is sufficient for 2 pax with an add-on serving of bee hoon ($3.00). If you requested for a 2 pax serving, it will costs around $80 for 2 smaller crabs.
It came cooked as black pepper crab and gravy spilled over the bee hoon is just splendid! Love the moist bee hoon and crab that is already cracked before served to table.
It was probably around 2000 hours when we finished our meal, but queue is still pretty long. Based on our total waiting time, the last person in the queue before we left might have to wait till around 2200 hours before able to satisfy the growling tummy!
