This is was my first time in Mulligan and a very enjoyable one. When I first stepped into into the pub, I was greeted by a bunch of warm and friendly staff. They brought me to my seat and served me iced water without having to ask for it The pub served not only Irish food but other local delicacies as well. The chef is Ivan Ho. Chef Ho is friendly man. Very often, you will see him out in the dining area, talking to the patrons and making sure the food is alright. Chef Ho brings with him many years of experience and has worked in many well known hotels. One of it is Conrade.
I had fish and chips, beef and chicken stew and scotch egg. My favourite dish is the scotch egg. This is an Irish dish whereby minced meat, sausage and onions are mixed together and wrapped around a hardboil egg. This was time eating it and it never felt so good. The combination of meat and egg was just so good. In Ireland, this dish is eaten cold. However, to cater to local taste, Chef Ho decided to the serve the egg hot. If one would like to have the dish in the Irish way, Chef Ho will cater to it as well.
There is also live performance by a very talented singer. Just imagine indulging yourself with good food and nice music. It makes the whole dining experience a fantastic one.
To sum things up, Mulligan Pub is a place for everyone. Good food, good music and good ambience. I will give it a 5 out of 5. Try it and you will never regret it.
