I visited Sauce for dinner for 2 on the 8th March and tried their Fish and Chips($18) and their Fresh River Catch ($20) . The fish & chips were nothing special given that it was their House recommendation, however, the bonito flakes and jalepeno tartar sauce went surprisingly well with the fish and enhanced the flavour of the fries greatly! The fresh river catch was slightly more disappointing, and the salmon was not at all to-die-for although I did like the texture of the mashed potatoes.We als
We also ordered Asahi premium drafts and a Margarita. The drinks were at reasonable prices, given the ambience of esplanade (we decided to have our dinner al fresco, and lap up the cool night breeze over a meal). The best part is that all the prices shown on the menu at NETT! No need for extra surcharges, which is great!
All in all, Sauce at Esplanade is worth trying, especially with its extensive drinks list (you'd want to try the Asahi bucket of 5 if you are in a group!) and great ambience. Food/service isn't that great, but it makes up for it with the ambience, nett prices and drinks variety.
