I accompanied my mum to collect some stuffs from her friend and we headed to the Yuhua market for brunch. My mum is very fond of soon kueh and yam kueh, she will never hesitate when she sees a stall selling it. An true enough there was a stall selling her favourite kueh. We ended up with soon kueh, Peng kueh and yam kueh. The soon kueh was really good, the turnip inside was cooked till very tasty. It contributed to the sweetness of the kueh. The Peng kueh was very chewy, the glutinous rice inside was rather sticky but cooked till very tasty. The yam kueh was my favourite, the yam flavour was really fragrant and it was very soft. They gave us chilli sauce and black sauce to go with it. The chilli sauce was really good, sweetish spicy.
