There's a new mexican place at Boat Quay. And being an admirer of tacos, I just had to try that new place. So my colleague and I headed there for lunch. It wasn't hard to find for it was just located along the stretch of bars, pubs, and restos. There were only 3 options at the moment, since they just opened less than a month ago. We ordered the burrito, tacos, and the rice meal. The way you ordered was a step by step process. First thing you had to do was choose which meal you wanted, type of meat, toppings, and those additional toppings. Then you pay at the cashier. For lunch, we had free drinks as part of their lunch special. My order was the tacos. For $15, i got three small/soft shell tacos with pork. All the juices from the additional toppings just made the shell so soft, and they stuck to the paper. When I tried to pick it up, it ripped. So that was a bummer. And the taste was just average - can be improved, The rice meal had nothing special in it, same with the burrito. Actually, they all tasted the same..
But the good thing about Hombre Cantina was that the owner was getting all of the customers' feedback. So at least, he was able to note down what his brand has to work on... variety and taste.
