Koi has a new addition to its range of toppings, namely the mini yam. I have stopped taking pearls and usually only choose grass jelly or aloe Vera as topping. Wondering how yam would complement my Oolong milk tea instead of the usual grass jelly, I ordered it with mini yam.The yam pieces were indeed mini. It was quite good, so QQ and chewy. But, from its texture, I would think it is made with glutinous powder or some kind of starch rather than being just pure yam alone. So I gotta be wary of it

Anyway, I would think it is a better tasting option than pearls. It has the mild sweetness of Taro and the chewy QQ addictive texture.
