My friends were raving over how good the beancurd was then, so I had to try it for myself. Bought it home to try when I was having lunch at Maxwell. It is perhaps a very objective thing when it comes to food, since tastes varies for different people. I, belongs to the group who does not like Lao Ban. To me, beancurd is not pudding, but Lao Ban beancurd is not the traditional type of beancurd but is instead in a pudding form. The original flavour is quite milky for me, and I got quite sick of it

It is perhaps a very objective thing when it comes to food, since tastes varies for different people. I, belongs to the group who does not like Lao Ban. To me, beancurd is not pudding, but Lao Ban beancurd is not the traditional type of beancurd but is instead in a pudding form. The original flavour is quite milky for me, and I got quite sick of it after a few mouthfuls. Didnt like it at all. The almond was much better, at least still acceptable for my taste. Perhaps, Lao Ban appeals more to the younger people. My younger sis loves their original beancurd while I simply dont like it.
