I'd heard of Allauddin's famous briyani and noticed it always had a queue, so when I found myself at Tekka around 11:30am before the lunch crowd arrived I figured this was my chance to try it.There were only 4 people ahead of me in queue and they were processing the orders really quickly - it's already cooked, so they really just need to scoop it onto the plate. I ordered the mutton briyani since Indian food is really time I ever like mutton . It was the same price for chicken or mutton - $4.50

I got a generous serving of rice, a piece of mutton, and a bowl of curry sauce with a chunk of potato. I really didn't think the taste was anything special. In fact, it was quite bland for Indian food. Also, the mutton piece I got was mostly bone - yuck.
In my opinion, Allaudin's isn't any better than a random briyani shop at Tekka. It wasn't bad, but I'd rather try my luck at a different stall.
As another reviewer said, negative points for their use of disposable plates, bowls and cutlery - it's so bad for the environment!!
