I went there for a celebration of my birthday (Pariss Marina Square). It's stated on the website that "To many diners, Paris means great restaurants and is the height of food fashion. At Singapore Pariss Restaurants, each outlet is an enchanting experience by itself, where your senses pampered by joyful music, delicious food and classy ambience." . I am impressed by the classy ambience. There is even a large chandelier where I sat with my friends. It's nice just sitting there to wait for my other friends to arrive, but I couldn't wait to walk around. You have to have the Taiwan bubble tea - which you can DIY yourself, adding any number of gelatin beads you wish. When everyone arrived, I started with the salad and it didn't disappoint me with the freshness. The oyster is next. You have to place a clip (Sakura restaurant way for cooked food). However, what arrived was just a small oyster, in a rather nice large shell.
The rest of the food is appetizing, but we were careful not to overload our plates each time. The range of food is wide - from satay, sushi, sashami, laska, fried prawns, oyster, longevity buns (which I took two), siew mai, etc. The dessert is more endearing - fondue chocolate with banana, but the pastry is somewhat limiting.
The service was great, as the waiter was enthusiastic and polite. However, at the end of dinner, as he collected the plates (while we were chatting over drinks), he nearly dripped the leftover gravy on my shirt.
On the whole, it's the ambience that makes the dinner really enjoyable and adding to the company, the experience is great. I also noticed another 3 parties of friends/colleagues having celebration.
If you are looking for a pleasant experience with a group, this is the place. It's spacious and can cater easily for many groups of 10. There are small pleasant surprises, but in general it has not reached the pinnacle of quality of food (yet).
Will I go again? Yes, for the ambience, though maybe some time later.
