If you are exploring the newly opened MRT circus line that you should go by the Botanic Garden station and have a meal in this food centre. I ordered the $4.00 portion with medium sized prawns. It came with 3 pieces of medium sized prawns and a few slices of lean meat. The portion of mee kia was just right and it served along with a generous bit of veggies. I remember that they used to include pig's skin in their soup but no sight of it today which can be a good thing as the soup tends to get too oily with the pig's skin. The prawns tasted really fresh, the fresh came off the shell in a whole piece effortlessly. The few pieces of lean meat tasted a little too tough and i did not quite like it. I think i should stick with the pork ribs next time.
If you are willing to pay more than you have the option to choose the bigger sized prawns at $8.00 or even at $10.00.
It still tasted as good as before but my partner prefer the other famous prawn mee at Thai Thong Crescent somewhat.
