Indulge in an authentic Italian gastronomic journey together with Chef de Cuisine Antonio Facchinetti, as he presents a feast of 40 of his favorite dishes, all inspired by his beloved hometown in Milan and travels around the world. Bringing only the most rustic and traditional of Italian dishes to the table, every item on the list of 40 is a gem waiting to be discovered and savored.
And if that was not tempting enough, this semi-buffet allows you to tuck into the freshest of seafood, gorgeous Italian antipasti and an array of desserts at your own discretion and pleasure. But I'd say go easy, because you really want to keep space to try as many of the 40 dishes as you can. They are after all, an ensemble of Chef Antonio's signatures, made with heartfelt Italian warmth. And with summer in full force at this time of the year, the vine-ripened cherry tomatoes are at their finest as well- red, juicy and flavorful. Paired with the quintessential mozzarella and couple of fragrant young basil leaves, the simplest but yet the most charming Caprese Salad is plated. Moving on to the the mains handcrafted by Chef Antonio himself...
All dishes have been scaled down to tasting portions so that you can try more items on the list!
Grilled Jumbo King Prawn, French Beans, Raw Pizzaiola Sauce (supplement $20)
Succulent, juicy and simply bursting out of their shells after grilling, these Jumbo King Prawns were an exuberant picture not to be missed. Granted that the supplement of $20 might be a tad pricey, the sweet firm flesh of this upsized crustacean is worth the occasional splurge. Roasted Pork Belly, Baked Vegetables
My first time trying an Italian inspired roasted Pork Belly and it did bear a striking resemblance to the ones the Chinese and French usually make. But who can fault a crackling skin with a layer of melt-in-your-mouth fat that tastes this good? My arteries will probably make me regret a few years down the road but right now, my taste buds marveled with satisfaction.
Sooooo gooood.... Between the two of us, we only managed to try 7/40 of the dishes because we wanted to get our hands on those dainty pastries and sweets with amazing intricate details. The milkshake station too proved to be a hit along with the gelato counter so let yourself go and try all the desserts! Every Sunday: 12.30pm – 3.00pm
