When I heard that the Ge!ato store at Sembawang Shopping Centre offers Rose Gelato, I just had to give it a try! We went there in the late afternoon and were surprised to learn that there was a 1-for-1 October promotion for the Rose Gelato. The place is quite small with only a few tables for customers to sit and chill, and we only found a place in front of the counter so it got kind of cramped especially when there was a queue. Nevertheless, the place has a very clean and modern vibe to it. If you prefer to have your gelato at the store and take your time savouring it, I'd recommend avoiding seats right in front of the counter. One plus point is there there are a wide variety of flavours to choose from, and everything looks so colourful and ....tempting! I got Tiramisu and Chocolate chips for my rose gelato. I was expecting a slight wait for it given that the lady had to make layers of the petals, but she was deft and swift and I got my rose gelato in no time! It was even quite prettily made! The gelato was very smooth and tasty, although it wasn't as rich as I'd like. I personally preferred the chocolate over the Tiramisu. I think if I have the chance again, I'd like to try the standard gelato in a cup instead of getting the rose gelato with the cone, just so I can savour more of it on its own!
