Have been hearing a lot of raved reviews by my friends so one day I suggested having dinner at Ippudo! It was a Saturday when we went, at around 5plus in the evening, but it was still full house. We waited for a table of 4 for 15mins but they gave us a table for 3 because my friend wasn't here yet. They did not allow us to have a table for 4 until we were sure that our friend is arriving very soon. We placed our orders while waiting for my friend. We placed our orders while waiting for my friend. I decided to try the original tonkotsu, shiromaru motoaji ($15), which is just the normal one with cha-shu, cabbage and spring onions. You can choose to have the one with egg but it costs $3 more. We also get to choose how hard we want our noodles to be, hard or medium. The waiter recommended us the hard one but I prefer mine to be soft so I don't have to chew so hard! Anyway we managed to get a table of 4 as we saw the people leaving. At around 6pm, the queue outside was crazy. We were so lucky to be able to get a table! Personally I feel that the ramen is quite ordinary and not as good as what my friends said. But I have to admit that the broth is good, although abit salty, and I had to keep drinking water. Since my friend ordered the hard noodles, I tried it as well. I didn't think that there's much difference between the medium and hard one though. The ingredients in the ramen was just normal and for $15 I think it's abit steep. And it doesn't seems very worth it for me to queue again next time.
