We decided to try this place as part of the Restaurant Week. While waiting for our food, we were served with a basket of Papadum rolled into a cone with 3 different condiments. This is the 1st time I had papadum served in this shape. The 3 dips are mint, yogurt & mango chutney. We like the papadum that we requested for more with extra mango chutney. They served us with complementary ice cold homemade ginger drink. This was a nice touch. Surprisely the Indian restaurant served western style salad instead of Indian cooking style vegetables. The salad consists of Brussels Sprouts, mini romaine lettuce and pine kernels with mustard vinaigrette.
The vegetables is fresh and crunchy but I find the taste bland and I need to add Mango Chutney to enhanced the taste.

Our Appetizer consists of 3 items and a mini salad; Tandoor Smoked Grouper Fish, Chicken Tikka and Raunaqeen Sheekh. I like the fish which has a smoky Tandoor taste. The Tikka chicken is nicely done. I do not like the sheekh which is minced lamb sausage coated with some orange sauce. The smell of lamb is too strong for me.

The different main courses were divided and share among the 4 of us. It was served with white rice, Plain Naan and Garlic Naan. The Amritsari Fish Curry was lighly spiced and the curry gravy goes well with rice or naan. The fish was soft to bite which is suitable for elderly.

The butter chicken is very tender and the creamy gravy has a hint of butter and the chicken has a Tandoor flavour. The naan has a chewy texture with bits of burn patches and slight crisp.

The contrasting hot & cold dessert of Gajjar Halwa ( carrot pudding ) & Pistachio Kulfi ( Indian Ice Cream ) is a nice end to the meal. I especially like the carrot pudding which is a warm mount of thinly shredded carrots which is not too sweet. The ice cream has bits of pistachio & berries sitting on top of orange coloured glass noodles.
